Fact: 1 in 3 young people will grow up without a mentor.

Positive Impacts and rewards to the mentee may include:

  • Having an adult friend with wisdom and who is not going to judge them

  • Help with sorting through challenges of school, relationships, peer-pressure and family

  • Help with making choices or making decisions

Increased confidence and self-esteem

We are not looking for men and women who “have it all together,” but instead have a mindset to want to see our youth thrive in today’s society.  If you can be SUPPORTIVE, ENCOURAGING, AND NEUTRAL, register now to join our team and become a mentor today!

At Empower 1, we believe that pouring into a young person’s life, providing that one on one involvement, by giving them the support and encouragement they need will open them up to experiencing a whole new world and learning new things about themselves first and foremost acknowledging and understanding their identity and purity in Christ and holistically giving them the space to focus on their emotional and mental stability which will in turn help them make good choices regarding their physical health, education, relationships, and personal goals in life.  A typical mentee in one of our programs could include:

  • Previous Juvenile offenders

  • Abused and neglected youth

  • Runaways

  • High-risk youth
